Fees and insurance
Fees for psychotherapy vary depending on length of session and number of participants; please inquire. Sliding scale sessions are reserved for clients who demonstrate financial need for a lower fee, and are not available for people using insurance or attending sessions less frequently than once per week.
As an out-of-network provider for PPO plans, I provide a monthly superbill you can submit for reimbursement by your insurance. No guarantee of payment or reimbursement can be given, so please verify your coverage in advance. Also, if you are using insurance to access therapy, I am required to give you a diagnosis. If you have insurance but choose not to use it, I will ask you to sign a form indicating you are a self-pay client.
Cancellations require advance notice within 24 hours of your appointment, or you will be charged the session fee, unless we are able to reschedule within the same week. I accept cash, credit cards, Apple Pay and Google Pay. Insurance will not cover missed sessions or late cancellations.
You have the right to receive a “Good Faith Estimate” explaining how much your medical and mental health care will cost. Under California law, health care providers are required to give patients who don’t have insurance or who are not using insurance an estimate of anticipated charges for medical services. We will discuss this up front prior to initiating therapy, but if you would like a Good Faith Estimate, I am happy to provide one as well.
